# C&R Software Earns First PCI Certification for New Cloud Environment
**FAIRFAX, May 19, 2023 **– C&R Software, the best-in-class solution for configurable debt collection software, confirms its continuous dedication to data security with the Payment Card Industry Standard (PCI DSS) certification.
After separating from another well-known analytics software company in 2021, C&R Software has been focused on seamlessly migrating clients onto its own AWS-hosted server as well as securing numerous security certifications under its rebranded identity. PCI DSS is the first certification obtained for the new cloud environment. C&R Software is on track to earn its next security certification by end of 2023.
“As a software company working with clients in highly regulated industries, it’s our responsibility to assure data and systems are protected. This new certification validates why Debt Manager is the most trusted solution for global collections efforts,” said Arif Hameed, CISO at C&R Software.
PCI DSS confirms its adherence to the security standards set by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council for the secure handling of credit card information. PCI DSS is administered by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council. The certificate gives assurance that companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment, reducing the risk of unauthorized access to customer data.
