Get more from Debt Manager with the C&R Software Academy

C&R Software has launched the Academy, a dedicated eLearning tool for Debt Manager users. It brings together all online training courses in one place, and it's now accessible directly from the tools your team already uses every day.

The training content hasn't changed. What's changed is where you find it, how you track it, and how much easier it is to get your whole team learning.

Whether you're picking this up for the first time or you've used our online courses before, here's what you need to know.

What is the C&R Software Academy?

The Academy is a role based eLearning platform built specifically for Debt Manager users. It's a growing library of structured courses, each tailored to a specific role within your collections team, covering everything from core workflows and letter development to advanced configuration, integration, and system administration.

It's not just for beginners. The Academy is designed as a resource your team can return to throughout their time using Debt Manager, whether they're picking up a feature they haven't used before, refreshing their knowledge after a system update, or onboarding a new colleague. The courses are self-paced, available on demand, and built specifically around how Debt Manager works in practice.

Whether you’re a business user, administrator, or member of a technical team, the Academy is one of the most direct ways to make sure you’re using Debt Manager to its full potential.

What's new

We've moved our course library onto a new learning management platform supporting new access points, better reporting, and a more personalized experience for learners.

Here's what it looks like in practice.

One click access from the Customer Portal

The Academy is now integrated into the C&R Customer Portal, the same place where you raise support tickets, access the Download Center, and manage your account.

Log in as you normally would, click the Academy icon, and you're in. Single sign on (SSO) means your existing portal credentials work across everything. There's no separate login and no new account to set up.

Smarter course recommendations with AI

The platform uses AI to recommend courses based on each learner's role and where they’re at in their learning journey. Rather than presenting every user with the same catalogue and leaving them to navigate it, the platform surfaces the modules most relevant to them.

For larger teams where users are at different stages of Debt Manager adoption, this makes a real difference. A new collector working through the basics and a senior configuration specialist have different needs. The platform reflects this.

Richer reporting for team leads and L&D managers

Admins and team managers get access to a live reporting dashboard tracking completion rate, scores, time spent, and certification status at the individual and group level.

Reports can be scheduled to run automatically and shared with relevant stakeholders, so you're not manually pulling data or chasing completions. If you're responsible for demonstrating training compliance in a regulated financial services environment, the dashboard gives you a clear, current audit trail without any extra admin.

Audit ready certifications

Every certificate issued through the Academy is tracked with a delivery date, expiry date, and re-enrollment history. This information is stored against each learner's profile and is accessible from the reporting dashboard at any time.

For organizations needing to evidence staff competency, whether for internal governance or external regulatory purposes, this removes the need for manual tracking in spreadsheets. The record is there, accurate, and up to date.

Flexible, 24/7 learning

The Academy is also available on iOS and Android. Learners can access courses from their phone, which is useful for teams that aren't always desk-based, for users who prefer to learn in shorter sessions, or for anyone who wants to continue a course between meetings or during downtime.

The platform also includes gamification features: achievement badges, leaderboard rankings, and the ability for learners to challenge colleagues to complete specific courses. For teams where training engagement has been a challenge, or where you want to recognize learners actively developing their skills, these tools give you a lightweight way to build this culture.

How to get started

Getting into the new Academy is straightforward.

  1. Log into the C&R customer portal at https://myportal.crsoftware.com/
  2. Look for the Academy icon on your dashboard.
  3. Click through and you'll land directly in your eLearning catalogue.

Your existing portal credentials will work. You don't need to register separately or set up a new account.
